Lights, Camera, Fashion: Junior Jacob Boyd Models in NYC

Junior Jacob Boyd is dressed in one designer: The Box Method. Waiting to step into the lights. Waiting to walk during New York Fashion Week. Waiting to shine.
The Box Method brand focuses on bright comic style colors and wording printed on the clothes: hashtags to words of affirmation.

Growing up Jacob Boyd enjoyed all things Hollywood.
“It was David Tennant in Doctor Who,” said Boyd, recalling who first inspired him. ‘I want to do this.’”
In October 2022, his mom suggested that he get into modeling and they started to work with an agent.
“I wanted to get into it cause it’s a bridge to acting,” said Boyd.
Mid summer of ‘24, Boyd put his name up for New York. After some time they heard that he had been selected.
Practice took up all of his time until he had to leave little Bristol and go to The Big Apple.
“When you live in Bristol everything is a chill quiet pace, nothing ever happens,” said Boyd. “In NY it is very loud. Yes, it isn’t perfect, but I love it for that.” .
After the nine-hour drive, Boyd and his mom made it.
“I was scared, terrified; this is a big one,” said Boyd.
Something this monumental has the ability to make his career, and the pressure is down to one walk. “If you mess this up there is no going back,” said Boyd.
Backstage, models, makeup artists, and hairstylists buzzed around. Boyd lined up for his turn to walk.
As he stepped out onto the runway, he was blinded by lights.
“Flashing, just flashing lights is all you notice,” said Boyd.
Achievement afterwards felt euphoric. “You just did that,” said Boyd.
