When she’s not traveling, fundraising tens of thousands of dollars for heart health, getting glammed up, or preparing for her first year at Palm Beach Atlantic University, senior Aniston Barnette is busy creating unique and relatable content for social media.
With 19,000 followers on TikTok (@anistonleighbarnette), Barnette gives her audience a peek into her life of eye-catching outfits, days in NYC, and beauty inspiration.
Once she heads off to college in Florida, Barnette is expecting a surge in new content, containing sunny days and beach outfits.
A glamorous life is not all Aniston is looking forward to, though. She is planning on earning a Master’s degree and studying to become a nurse practitioner. She then hopes to go on and pursue aesthetic nursing.
“Injections, fillers, something like that,” said Barnette. “Making people feel beautiful, that’s my favorite thing.”
Barnette loves to help people in any way she can, whether that be through helping them love the way they look or through educating them on the importance of learning about their risks of heart disease.
“Most people think it’s like a grandma thing, but there are so many people that get affected by heart health,” said Barnette.
In order to spread the word, Barnette is a participant in an upcoming pageant in June, where she has included heart health into her campaign.
Alongside that, Aniston hosted a fashion show as fundraising for the American Heart Association. In Feb. 2024, she raised over $40,000 from the show and was crowned American Heart Association’s National Teen of Impact—also known as Queen of Hearts.
When she was first given the opportunity to host a fundraising event, Aniston instantly knew she wanted to run a fashion show.
“It’s definitely a way for me to do the things I love doing and make it into a profession,” said Aniston.
