Tucked between the crossroads of Social Studies, Art, and Wellness classrooms lies the newest resource for students seeking an elevated high school education: the AP/Honors study room.
The brainchild of teachers Brad Morelock and Andrew Cross, the study room is a place where upper and lower classmen alike can receive accelerated help in rigorous courses.
“It’s a resource that students can use to get one-on-one help”, said Morelock. “A lot of these AP classes, they’re significantly large.”
While the room is a new feature to after school programs, attendance has fluctuated due to testing schedules.
“I think students can get help without other [students] butting in,” said freshman Angelina DiBartolo.
Open Monday through Thursday from 2:30-5:30, Cross and Morelock have a cast of teachers from English to math to social studies willing to help students.
“This is a place where [students] can move together, study together, get ready for something prior to the day, and have that guidance in the future,” said Cross.
