The Firecracker Squad fills Tennessee High’s alleyway with cheers, claps, and Viking pride every Thursday during homeroom. Composed of students with differing abilities, the team enables physical activity and encouragement.
“I feel like inclusion is very important,” said sponsor Amanda Vance. “Every student wants to be involved in school spirit.”
The team is known for its vibrant energy and determination. They perform a wide range of stunts and school-themed chants.
“It never fails to put a smile on my face,” said student leader Lily Hughes. “It’s an honor to work with these people. They radiate joy and passion.”
