Exploring new worlds and opening minds has always been a passion of Book Club leader, senior Arabella Taylor, who wants anyone interested in the club to be inspired to read.
“People who like reading should have a community,” said Taylor. “I want anyone to be encouraged to join and to know they will not be judged.”
Every nine weeks this year, Book Club members are going to read a new book and grow together as readers through discussion. Whether it’s meeting at Blackbird or Starbucks, book club members let novels change them.
“A book club is more important than ever,” said club sponsor Tim Davis. “Books offer so many things: escape, help with falling asleep, human connection, and alternative views of the world—a book club shows true education.”
