The Science Bowl provides a community for scientifically-minded individuals who want to compete and have fun. Outside of their main focus on the state competition, they are keen on expanding the close-knit community surrounding science. Meetings will begin after fall break.
“Students should join if they want to further their interest in science and interact with people from other schools,” said sponsor Mr. Reece.
The Science Bowl spends its meetings preparing for the competition in the spring against most of the other schools in the state. They practice in a competitive manner, and go over numerous scientific subjects, from chemistry to earth science.
“[It] provides an opportunity to learn new things through a competitive spirit and allows [students] to connect with people,” said sophomore Lily Chen.
