Through events like the Powder Puff football game, the Pink Out Game, and various fundraisers, Anchor Club, a club for young girls, promotes community connection and leadership opportunities.
Run by president Ryleigh Tolbert, Anchor allows young girls to “get involved in the outside community and inside our school.”
“It’s a great way if you are feeling shy as a freshman to meet a group of kind hearted and supportive girls,” said treasurer Gywnie Harman.
While they are involved outside the school, Jenna Dunkerly, club sponsor, also loves how this club impacts the school itself.
“We have members of the club from all different walks of life, so we use that to get to know the entire student body and what is important to them,” said Dunkerly.
