FBLA inspires young business leaders

Students who take Tammy English’s business classes may not know about the club she sponsors—Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)—which meets on the first and third Wednesdays of every month in her room during homeroom.
“FBLA gives students more opportunities to experience leadership roles, work with like-minded students, and learn more about the business world,” said English.
President Karrie English appreciates the club’s opportunities to learn and grow in her public speaking skills.
“I enjoy FBLA because it helps me improve my leadership skills,” said Karrie. “It provides me with an outlet to meet people who share the same interests as me.”
Ragan Joyner, the Vice President of FBLA, hopes that people are able to pursue their love of business through the club.
“My hope for the club is that it inspires other students to take up a career in business and follow their passion of entrepreneurship,” said Joyner.
