Meeting in the library after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Anime Club is a passion-driven community for anyone interested in anime. Advisor Shannon Silvers believes the club is a great opportunity for students to socialize with new people.
“I think it’s helped [students] to create friendships they didn’t have before with people they didn’t know before,” Silvers said. “It’s given them other people to talk to about anime.”
Interested students must simply get a permission form from the library, get it signed, and return it. In senior Ariel Harman’s case, the club has helped further her drive for anime.
“It’s a really fun community and it’s cool because it has a community of like-minded people,” Harman said.
For some, Anime Club is a chance to escape the grind of schoolwork and escape to a world of their greatest enjoyment
“Honestly, it makes me excited to go to school most days,” said Harman.
