In the words of Mariah Carey, “it’s tiiimmme!” Here are the top 10 best Christmas movies to warm up with this winter.
10. Christmas with the Kranks (2004)
Starting off strong with an iconic film! How could one not love the Kranks and their daughter Blair? Everyone wants to be home for Christmas!
9. Die Hard (1988)
IT. IS. A. CHRISTMAS. MOVIE. Not only that, but it ranks in the greatest 10 holiday films of all time.
8. It’s a Wonderful Life (1946)
Probably the only black and white film on this list, however, this movie earns a spot on this list. The story’s uplifting message that every life has significance makes it an inspiring film that has resonated with audiences across generations.
7. The Muppets Christmas Carol (1992)
It’s nostalgic, heartwarming, and has a rat. That’s pretty much all you need for a good movie.
6. The Holiday (2006)
With a cute cottage and even cuter relationships, this is a warm, heartfelt movie that you can’t help but smile while watching.
5. Miracle on 34th Street (1994)
My personal favorite is the 1990s one, however, the whole franchise is so cute.
4. Elf (2003)
You might not have heard of this one. It’s an underground movie with like this new actor, Will Ferrell? Ask Anna Grace Hodges about it, she’ll know more
3. Home Alone (1990)
Coming in hot at number 3, Home Alone. Do I really need to explain why it goes here?
2. How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)
I firmly believe Jim Carrey was put on this earth to fulfill his life goal: to play this role as the Grinch. End of discussion.
1. National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (1989)
When it comes to the greatest Christmas movie of all time, this one takes the eggnog. With relatable characters, unconventional holiday cheer, and slapstick humor, this holiday movie comes first on the list.
