This year’s Cartoon Edition Emmys have turned out to be quite a show. Many childhood favorites came out to hopefully accept awards. From G.O.A.T.S like Mickey Mouse and SpongeBob to sadly forgotten shows like Word World and Super Why, the entire franchises showed up to the prestigious awards.
Since the Cartoon Edition Emmys happen once only ten years (duh,) a new arrival came to the awards, full of the energy of a six-year old. Hailing from Queensland Australia, lovable Bluey Heeler ran across the carpet while the rest of her family, Dad, Mum, and Bingo followed.
The family entered the audience where other famous cartoons were waiting. Bluey struck up a conversation with Caillou, only to be led away a few minutes later by Mum who claimed he said a “potty word.”
After playing with Team Umizoomi for half an hour, all of the cartoons settled in their seats for the awards. Nothing really worth mentioning happened until the main award for best cartoon. The entire Heeler family huddled together in excitement, only to have their dreams dashed by SpongeBob Squarepants.
As he stepped onto the stage, the yellow sponge announced yet another movie coming to the franchise. This poorly planned movie features Pearl, Mr. Krab’s spoiled daughter, about her teenage life. The movie will be in an over dramatic anime format where everyone is buff and overly emotional.
