Offering a variety of technically engaging opportunities, Robotics gives students the chance to learn more about the stem-field and their own strengths and weaknesses.
“It allows students to find out if they really like the engineering field and gives them a look into actual engineering jobs,” said junior Astraia Kudela.
Building many skills throughout the year prepares students to compete at the MATE ROV competition in May. Whether building a robot, coding machinery, or honing in on their leadership skills, members of Viking Robotics are using their talents to create a program for all students.
“It is not super focused on any one particular [field], you can contribute if you have any type of interest,” said Dr. Lewis, club sponsor.
